raining elegy

raining elegy

breaking down under the summer rain
with all the pictures of me in pain
I don't need to worry, they say
it's just in your head, it will be okay

past midnight, I'm haunted by my own thoughts
in the garden surrounded by red moths
playing hide and seek with my illusion
myself drowned in an ocean of confusion

it's raining elegy, by the summer breeze
everyone's dead, and then there's me
last year I bled, now in misery
it's raining elegy, I hope they find me

writing letters under the autumn sky
I said, "dear me, I hate it when you cry"
buying happy pills from an old thrift shop
hoping it would make this stupid pain stop

oh, it's past midnight, I'm haunted by the trauma
of the phantom that creeped through the drama
playing "show and tell" with my therapist
or my mirror that's not full of elegance

it's raining elegy, by the autumn breeze
everyone's dead, and then there's me
last year I bled, now in misery
it's raining elegy, I hope one day it's me

hello hello, yes this is very cheesy and corny but I enjoyed writing it a lot. I don't know if this is a song or prose or a poem, but definitely somewhere between those lines!! also, the term 'raining elegy' here means raining elegy (the poem) and not raining elegantly!

hope you liked it, video of me singing it will be uploaded soon!!
